This 3 day Golf tournament begins May 26 at the Lackland Gateway Hills Golf Club. Round 2 will be held May 27 at the Fort Sam Houston Golf Club and and finishes at the Randolph Oaks golf course on May 28.

Youth Summer Bowling League

Registration for the Youth Summer Bowling League (ages 5-19) will be held on May 26 from 12-2pm at the Fort Sam Bowling Center. The youth league will meet every Saturday at 10am, June 2 - August 4. There is a registration fee of $17 and a weekly bowling fee of $6.

The Aquatic Center will open Memorial Day Weekend. This water park is free for DoD cardholders and offers amusement park style water slides, lap lanes, a kiddy pool and playground. The pool can even be reserved for parties and unit training.

Summer Reading Program Needs Volunteers
The Keith A Campbell Memorial Library is looking for volunteers for the summer reading program. This year's theme is, "Reading is So Delicious!"
Share your time, resources and skills to make a difference in our community!

The Lemon Lot Has Moved!
The Lemon Lot on Fort Sam Houston is in the process of moving. The Lemon Lot is expected to reopen at it's new location around the end May 2012, details coming soon.

The Bowling Center is changing their hours of operation beginning May 14.
New Hours:
Monday 5-10pm
Tuesday 11am - 10pm
Wednesday 11am - 10pm
Thursday 11am - 10pm
Friday 11am - 12am (midnight)
Saturday 10am - 12am (midnight)
Sunday 2-9pm
Pets need vaccinations too!
The Fort Sam Veterinary Treatment Facility will hold a vaccination clinic for dogs and cats belonging to DEERS-enrolled personnel on Saturday, May 19, 8-11:30am. Just like people, it's important to keep your pets current on their vaccinations. The services provided are all vaccinations, heartworm and FeLV/FIV tests, microchip implantation and fecal flotations. Walk-ins are welcome; no sick calls.

New Items at the Outdoor Equipment Center
Just in time for spring, the OEC is welcoming some new rentals, including new pontoons and bass boats along with some equipment for your parties. There are new dunk booths, bounce houses, folding chairs, canopies, generators and portable AC fans. Please plan ahead and remember all boat and camper rentals require safety training.
